Expensive transparent dress with 4,000 crystals costed more than USD 3,000 according to Rio Diva Carla Prata. She told the Brazilian press her dress was handmade, as the crystals were hand embroidered. The dress is mostly transparent, and the larger crystals were used to provide intimacy to her costume at the Rio parade. By coincidence or not, her dress was designed in tune with her artistic name, which is Carla Prata, ( "Prata" in Brazilian Portuguese means Silver"), the color of the dress. The dress was used by at the official rehearsal of Vila Isabel Samba School and caused a very good impression to the crowd, that cheered her name and her dancing skills. She was also wearing underneath the tight dress a another transparent legging, so as to provide an extra protection since the costume ended up weighing considerably with so many crystals. The Rio Diva was also wearing a matching long earrings with many Crystals and her sandals had the same purpose. From the her knees down , her fashion costume designer decide to embroider more crystals close to her silver sandals, to give an extra shine to for those looking for her dancing steps and moves.
